Inspired by Bin 707, Bin 407 offers varietal definition and approachability, yet still possesses structure and rich depth of flavour. The 2023 vintage is built for longevity, with the greatest reward reserved for those with the patience to cellar. Elegantly composed and finely structured, it reveals expressive dark Cabernet fruits, with savoury oak and understated earthy complexity. A burst of red fruit delivers a vibrant and lively mouthfeel. Steely tannins provide a structured backbone, complementing the darker tones of ripe forest fruit and a savoury hint of olives. A minerality, reminiscent of blue slate and ironstone, enhances the wine's complexity. Since its inception, Penfolds Koonunga Hill has always aimed to deliver quality, value and consistency. The original 1976 Koonunga Hill Claret is a legendary wine that is still drinking well today. Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. Shiraz from the warmer districts of South Australia is carefully blended, with the Barossa Valley always well represented. Ripe plum, blueberry & sweet spice - undeniably South Australian Shiraz. The palate shows flint, liquorice, smoked meat & paprika. Integrated tannins remind us of the wine's place in the Penfolds family.

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is a reflection of the Penfolds winemaking style and philosophy. Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, the wine is known for its full-flavoured style with excellent Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, firm yet well-rounded structure and balanced oak. Made as a traditional 'Australian blend', the Shiraz component provides fleshy fruit flavour while Cabernet Sauvignon provides a frame of fine grained tannins. Date, boysenberry & sweet cinnamon abound. Pair with grilled meats, lamb chops or charcuterie.

St Henri is a time-honoured and alternative expression of Shiraz, and an intriguing counterpoint to Grange. It is unusual amongst high quality Australian red wines as it does not rely on any new oak. Released for the first time by Penfolds in the early 1950s (first commercial vintage 1957), it gained a new lease of life in the 1990s as its quality and distinctive style became better understood. Proudly, a wine style that hasn't succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters with age. It is matured in an assortment of old large vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character. Although a small proportion of Cabernet may sneak into the blend, the focal point for St Henri remains Shiraz. True to form, the palate is quite savoury. Japanese nori paper and olive brine offer a very morish umami nuance. Fresh blueberry and mulberry leaf anchor the core of the mid-palate. Exotic spices adding intrigue, Alleppey turmeric, toasted cumin, pimento. The tannins are very tactile, comparable to Dutch cocoa. A classic St Henri that will reward extended time in the cellar.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

Vibrant and expressive, the Pepperjack Central Otago Pinot Noir pours a brilliant scarlet with a subtle violet hue. Enticing aromas of juicy plum, dark cherry, and mocha are lifted by a hint of wild thyme, setting the stage for a richly layered palate. Bursting with dark cherry and luscious cassis, this Pinot is balanced by silky tannins and a supple mouthfeel. Savoury cocoa notes and resinous spices from oak and whole bunch fermentation add depth, drawing the red and blue fruits across the palate, melding to a complex and concentrated finish.

Aromas of ripe red currants, blackberries with hints of sage, mint and toasty oak. The palate shows subtle red fruits while having some grainy long tannins. Dual appellation - Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale.

A tribute to the Barossa's winemaking heritage, Pepperjack is crafted using a blend of traditional techniques and modern flair. Winemaker Richard Mattner - a born-and-bred Barossa local - loves making Pepperjack wines as much as he loves drinking them, especially alongside a great steak. As he says: "Why would I need anything else?" Deep dark red with a vibrant purple rim, the nose bursts with rich aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, mocha, and spice. The palate is plush and layered, delivering concentrated dark fruits, fine tannins, and a soft, lingering finish. Pepperjack Shiraz is a true Barossa classic.

The Barossan showcases the superb fruit sourced from the many fabled sub-regions across the Barossa Valley. A selection of the Barossa's key growers, renowned for their quality and skill, have shared their passion and pristine fruit to create this ultimate expression of a great Barossa Grenache. The wine displays bright purple hues with a core of garnet red. The lifted palate is smooth and silky with raspberry, violet flower and a hint of dried sage. This juicy red wine is perfect to accompany antipasto dishes, smoked meats and many Asian-inspired dishes with a bit of spice. Tannins are restrained, so this is also a lovely wine to enjoy as a pre-dinner option on its own and delicious when served slightly chilled.
